Feature requests / Translations grouped by tab in some order
« on: March 11, 2010, 09:56:39 am »
Hi!

I've just finished the Swedish translation for Feng Office 1.6.2. I really like your translations tool which is a great help when translating whole batch of things.

The problem I have with it is that it's darn near impossible to find in the structure where a translation is that you see on a specific tab on a specific place. The word in itself doesn't have to be spelled wrong, It might just have a different meaning than the word that I translated it to.

I would surely like to have a different order of the translation more based on the tab and where it is located than by file. It would be a great help to sort out translation frogs, misspelled words and other fine tuning of a translation.

cheers
/Fredrik

How To's / Re: Creating groups?
« on: January 14, 2010, 07:47:38 am »
What happens more exactly when you press "save group"? Does it just reload  the Group page or do you get any kind of error message in top, or are you still in the "add group" window?

Svenska / Swedish for 1.5.3 pack
« on: November 06, 2009, 06:54:03 pm »
Well.... about a couple of weeks work... and a silent prayer for ctrl+c/ctrl+v and we have a first draft at swedish language pack. peeh... ::)

First of. This is the first draft of the translation. I tried to be as consistent as I could be but I'm sure there is some translations error that I haven't found out.... If I'm lucky maybe some of the swedish users will be so kind to tell us so that I can update the language pack.

Otherwise enjoy the wonderful world of OpenGoo in the wonderful language of Swedes  ;D

//----------------------------------------------//---------------------------------------------//

Till slut har vi då även en svensk översättning av OpenGoo. Detta är dock bara ett första utkast. Där finns säkert både översättningsfel och översättningsgrodor. Testa och meddela så att vi kan ha en så uppdaterad version som möjligt.

Njut annars av OpenGoo på svenska... såsom det skall avnjutas i vårt avlånga land.

How To's / Translations: Correct language name in list
« on: October 06, 2009, 03:51:56 am »
I'm currently working on a swedish translation of opengoo and would be finished in a week or two (knock on wood and all that...)

[Question]:
When I try to choose the swedish localization in adminstration > configuration > default user preferences > general, all the languages has the word for said language but the swedish only has sv_se as the ability to choose instead of "Svenska"(swedish) as the prefered language. Where do I put that information so the correct information is shown in the list?  ???

Feature requests / Group custom properties
« on: September 30, 2009, 07:46:55 am »
I would like to be able to group the custom properties that I set for an object type.

Both to group the properties for easier viewing but also to be able to add a new group of custom properties instead of a single for each one.

If I do have a custom properties group it would be easier if I have not added anything I just have a link to open a new set of properties open and not have to set 'Visible by default' each time I would like it to be seen.  ;D

In viewing the information of the object type it would be easier if it had the name of the group of custom properties instead of just "Custom Properties"

Older versions / [1.5.3] Can edit company but is not allowed to view it?
« on: September 30, 2009, 02:56:02 am »
I discovered a strange problem on one of our installed opengoo's which I cannot replicate on the others. Of course its on the one I am not fully administrator on.

I can create AND edit/delete companies but when I try to view the information about the company I get the "Error: You don't have permissions to access requested page".

I think it has something to do with the permissions when I create a company but I do not know where to look?  :-\

The administrator for the site has created two companies which I can view and see the permissions. But any I create myself, or another ordinary user, cannot view the information, only edit and delete. ???

Happy for any Help  ;D

Ideas / What about being able to connect to other organizations opengoo?
« on: September 24, 2009, 02:24:41 am »
A feature I would like to see in the future would be the ability to share workspaces between different OpenGoo's websites. It would be very powerful to connect different organizations and share documents, links, contacts etc. :)

Scenario 1: Companies

A company has local branches, domestic or foreign or both. They could be trade-agents, franchises or local shops, offices or anything. Each local has their OpenGoo locally for various reasons but would like to share some, but not all with the mother company or between each other as free agents. They would then set up common workspaces in which they would share information about products, services or campaigns. They could share contacts as suppliers and suggest customers for each other. They could work together on documents, public relations and other stuff. In the same time the different branches has their own working space that serve their local needs and is not shared with the others. Stuff like hiring, inventory, local marketing campaigns and such.

Scenario 2: Political/Non-Governmental Campaigns

People gathering over vast areas working towards a common goal can set up their own OpenGoo, but connect with each other sharing information, policies, strategies, templates and joined campaigns.

Scenario 3: Consulting
A Client has an OpenGoo and you opens a temporary common workspace dealing with proposals, discussions, meetings, milestones and tasks. When the contract is done you close the connection but keep all that information goodness for future reference. ;D

Ideas / More intergrated email
« on: September 15, 2009, 04:31:03 pm »
Just a couple of thoughts...

Email-links
If the email module is active, and you have an email-account working, Why have a ordinary mailto-link at Contacts? You should be able to use the email module to create new emails by clicking the email-adress of a contact or in a document.

Attachments
If an email has attachment you should have the abilty to load them directly to documents.

Tasks
You should be able to create a task with an email with the text inside. This would be very nifty for the workflow. I know someone already asked for this, but I think it is important.

How To's / [1.5.3] Slideshow problem with non-english letters
« on: September 11, 2009, 04:04:20 pm »
I'm translating opengoo to swedish at the moment and is having difficulties with the slideshow in Internet Explorer 6+8 and Google Chrome. In sweden we have the letter ÅÄÖ and when I edit the presentation I have no problem, but when I try to see it as a presentation the letters for those three above gets all jumbled up, but they look diffrent at each new slide. Any Ideas out there?

How To's / Checking in online files
« on: September 09, 2009, 03:32:06 am »
When I edit a online document I do not wish that others should be able to edit the document in the same time. So I check out the document, edit it online and then tries to check it in.

The problem is that the checking in seems only to work if I first download the file and then upload it again, even if I edited it online  :o

Isn't there anyway to tell the system that the checked out file is already on the system and doesn't need to be uploaded?
