I haven't seen anything like that yet, but then again: my initial reaction when encountering Joomla is to shoot it, bomb it, set it on fire and if it still lives run away screaming.

On a more serious note: FengOffice is developed by a small team and there aren't much contributors outside the core team (who already said it doesn't have a high priority), so I'm afraid you have to wait.

Feng 1.7 is already in testing phase. It will make it for Feng 1.8.

Just wondering: if I implement this in my current installation (1.7.2 beta) with the instructions specified by Allen, will I lose data if I update to 1.8 later?

Considering it's SMF, there are some ncie plugins to combat spam. I'll check later to see which ones I have running on my SMF-installations.

Regarding the 'how' we are going to do it, and the exact definitions and names, that is something we are still brainstorming.

I suggest to throw it out here int the open, maybe someone comes up with a really nice idea. In the end the projectlead decides.

So OpenGoo will be renamed as "Feng Office" entirely (I think most of us can agree that the Goo-part of the name isn't that great ) and will appear in a SaaS and open source version?

To be honest: I prefer to stay away from Google: it's a data mining/advertising company. I want to be able to allow/restrict their access to my data.

What happens if you do incremental updates? So 1.4.2 -> 1.4.3 (or what ever is inbetween) -> 1.4.4 (you'll get it I hope) <snip> 1.5.2 -> 1.5.3
