Development / Re: Feng Office 2 - New documentation for Development
« on: August 27, 2012, 06:48:25 pm »
No,
I was not able to add the plugins as the instructions are wrong.
The developers are deserting the forum and I deleted FO from my server and moved to redmine.

Actually not.
I was trying to add a few tabs to wrap tools we use regularly. So we could have them on the same environment.

It is a shame as otherwise this could be a real killer web application.

Some more details would probably help some one to help you out.
Can you provide them?

Is the domain on the same server?

Installation problems / Re: Error in installatin fengoffice2.1.0

The errors you show are due to those folders not being writable.
You have amany options there:
-  log on you server with a SSH terminal like PuTTY
-  Connect to your server via FTP with something like Filezilla
-  Using the file system of your server's Control Panel

In any ways you need to change the permission to those folders and make them writable &%% should be enough.

Good luck

Development / Re: What about FengOffice STUDIO?
« on: August 19, 2012, 10:15:24 am »
The STUDIO was a suggestion I made in the hope that  someone at FO would pick it up, but seems like is not in FO agenda to open up this "opensource".

In my personal opinion, open source has served well and now that they have paying customers, they are ditching the community.

This is rather sad, but a known approach that worked in the past for others and will continue t work. It takes a lot of efforts but pays off.

Perhaps in a while someone with better coding ability will take this open source and fork it into another really open projects and the STUDIO may take form.... who knows!?

In the meantime let's enjoy this rather cool tool!

Development / Re: How to add ZENphoto (gallery) to FO
« on: August 19, 2012, 10:02:51 am »
Well, FO 2 uses a totally different approach to adding tabs...

They now call it PLUGIN and is part of an ad campaign spanning the whole web (you can read in lots of blogs) .

Problem is that is not working as promised and no one in FO is actually bothering to give any explanation.

You can see a number of unanswered requests on this forum.
As soon as FO fix it, I will more than happy to return and post how-to if necessary

Cheers.

Went through the whole document just to find out that it is not correct.

For starting the GUI is nowhere to be found even after activated

Then the procedure to add a plagin (tab) is totally wrong, as even using a cut & paste of the procedure, there is no way to implement it.

Am I missing something?

Getting Started / Re: Help with plugins

I followed the document and got the plugin installed and activated, but the tab although is listed is not showing up.

Do we need to intervene on the language ??

Any suggestion?

Also, the documentation mentions a GUI that's nowhere.
Let's get things straight, please.

In fengOffice tutto e' centrato sui WorkSpaces (WS).
Quindi quando crei un WS e ne dai accesso ad un utente, tutto il contenuto del WS e' accessibile da quell'utente.
