: OpenGoo 1.1 RC1
: ignacio December 15, 2008, 04:24:47 PM
The first Release Candidate for version 1.1 is out!

This release fixes some bugs reported for version 1.1 beta. There may be one more release candidate before version 1.1 final scheduled for December 29.

We now need your help to detect more bugs so that we get to version 1.1 final with a more stable product. Please, if you have the time, download and test this release, and report any bugs you find to bugs.opengoo.org.

Thanks in advance,

The OpenGoo team.

No upgrade is supposed to cause data loss. We didn't receive any reports on losing data on this upgrade, but if you prefer you can wait until version 1.1 final later this month, which may be more stable.

Did you lose data when upgrading? What happened? From which version did you upgrade?

Hey,

Are you planning "Spreadsheet" in this version?

Are you planning to use external authentication methods like, IMAP, IMAP-SSL, POP3 OR POP3-SSL in future? This will be useful as user will not need to remember separate password and user ids for opengoo, will use same user id and password same as their email id.

Rgds,
Nimesh

A first (ALPHA) (preview) version of spreadsheets will be available for version 1.2. It is a basic version where you will have formatting capabilities and exporting to Excel, ODS and PDF. There won't be formulas for that version but maybe for version 1.3.

We plan to implement OpenID to log in. This will allow you to login with the same ID on different OpenGoo installations as well as on several other sites. No dates for this yet, but it would be very nice to have it.

Thanks for your efforts. It's really a very fine software  :) :) :)

Where should we post errors with beta and RC versions?
Just in the forum?
