: Feng as a License Management system
: steveuj August 12, 2010, 05:30:25 AM
Has anyone tried to use Feng as a License Management system where the licensees had workspaces with renewal dates, revocations, applications, etc  stored in Feng Office.  eg: renewal dates in the calendar or todo lists so we can see coming due and past due

Licenses as in Driver Licenses?

We might be able to help. Could you share more information about how you plan to use it?

Licenses would be for companies being regulated,  Need to store relevant information, applications etc (documents) and set up expiration dates, nice to trigger renewal email.  would need to add licence number (similar to drivers license).  This would be part of a larger Feng installation and the license template would be used in separate workspaces; eg. Insurance Companies, Securities Brokers, NBFIs, etc.  Good to have history of licenses for each entity/person.  Was looking at using custom fields but they would need to be restricted by group or workspace.  All ideas are appreciated...  Thanks

I'm moving the topic to Government Forums.

It could be interesting to define different task types (i.e. Insurance license, nbfi license, etc ) and for define specific customer properties for each type. In that way you can set a due date with a reminder.

Is this aligned with what you need?
