: Ability to Add Modules
: fernandog February 04, 2010, 04:39:12 PM
Not sure if this has been brought up before or if anyone's figured it out
I would find useful the ability to add modules. Perhaps these modules could simply embed another site (external or internal).

Does that make sense? Does anyone see the use in this?

I do, should be added to Administration, maybe config, modules, add a custom module. Would add a new tab, and you could add any code or site you wanted.

2011 will bring : Third party integration

That's great, but any chance of a guide/how-to for those future contributed modules or add-ons.

This will be the best thing yet, allowing you to extend, build, and customize Feng Office’s core functionality.

Adding modules is only powerful if you can link data from that module to data in FO. I can open a bunch of tabs in Firefox and have a bunch of apps running side by side already, but the real power of data is in linking it to other data...
A bunch of isolated records is not nearly as valuable as a bunch of linked records. Witness Facebook.
