Hi FengOffice Team!
The new FengOffce version 3 is completely awesome! But we are still using FengOffice 2.5.1.4 on site...
Is there any possibility to upgrade v 2.x to v3?

Yes - just follow the upgrade instructions in readme.txt. It should work - it definitely works from 2.7 to 3.0, but you are using a pretty old version on site... however, I do not see why it wouldn't.

I tried to update from 2.7.1.6 to 3.0
# php public/upgrade/console.php 2.7 3.0
There is no upgrade path from version 2.7 to 3.0.

Strange - try via the web upgrade version - point your browser to /public/upgrade.php.
That worked for me.

alex, in your case - I think you need to try re-uploading all of the new files, as somehow they didn't get all in place. And, then try to run the upgrade again.
Backup, backup, backup, please! :)

Alex - if I read you right, you need to do a clean install of version 3.0, not 2.7.1.6, and then run the upgrade script. Version 2.7.1.6 cannot upgrade itself to 3.0 - you need to get the 3.0 files, and then tell it to upgrade.

Thank you a lot. I got it.
Short manual to upgrade from 2.7.1.4 to 3.0 :
1. backup your old db
mysqldump -udbuser -p dbname > feng_old_db.sql
2. install and setup clear 3.0 version (i used new virtual host and new db )
3. restore you db backup to new db
mysql -udbuser2 -p dbname2 < feng_old_db.sql
4. go to new virtual host location and run
php public/upgrade/console.php 2.7.1.4 3.0

Steveg, is there a particular reason why the official documentation is not mentioning the suggested upgrade process from 2.x to 3.x? Even the readme files in the feng office 3.x.zip archives just say about 2.x upgrades. I have found just this topic that gave me some hints on the 2.x 3.x upgrade process (for now I have failed with upgrade, though).

No clue about why it's not in the documentation, but it has been established that the procedure is the same, and most people have a smooth upgrade.

i do experience very similar problems upgrading from 2.1 to 3.x
Config file found and loaded.
File '/config/config.php' exists and is writable
Folder '/config' exists and is writable
Folder '/cache' exists and is writable
Folder '/tmp' exists and is writable
Folder '/upload' exists and is writable
Extension 'mysql' is loaded
Extension 'gd' is loaded
Extension 'simplexml' is loaded
Upgrade script has connected to the database.
Test query has been executed. Its safe to proceed with database migration.
Failed to execute DB schema transformations. MySQL said: Duplicate column name 'synced'
Error upgrading to version 2.3.2.1
I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me...
