: move / re-assign cooments

Would be handy to move comments between tasks.
Some users tend to make comments that fit other tasks better than the one they have posted on.

Nuno.

I wouldn't have thought that this was something so frequent.

You think it is so frequent that it would deserve a button or link near the comments to do this "merging"?

A button to let admins move comments from a task to another, definitely.
As our FengOffice iuser base grows, i have to deal more than ever with the need to relocate comments which are added to the wrong task by customers who aren't too sure about the scope and extent of it.
The most commen mistake in our case is to place function related comments in tasks about CSS styling, for instance.

I would think this is akin to the ability to move posts in a forum like this one. Often people will post in the wrong place, it only makes sense that it can be corrected by an administrator.

Right on the money :)

Any chances for this to be implemented?
My users notoriously post comments for wrong tasks. It's so hard to keep stuff organised without possibility of moving comments.

At first reading this I though "Who would need to do that??", but...
after running FO for a couple weeks, I can see the need...

So far it's:
Find wrong comment
Copy wrong comment to clipboard
Login as user who posted original comment
Add correct comment where it belongs
(but sometimes they get out of chronological order)
Carry on with 3,000 other things to do that day  :)

Any word on this? Or maybe some slick coder has figured out a easy-as-pie system to do this??

Tim

Thanks SIliconMind, not what I hoped for, but an idea nonetheless... We'll see what FO2 changes and then work up some independent php/mySQL system.
