I can help with setting up a component attached to your framework document handler to take documents from microsoft office .This can make a big release if released with first open goo .
Room also has to be left for all office applications interactivity in form of plugins or linking through a virtual printer .

My idea is this: OpenGoo should let you work with any type of document, but concentrate on open standards for the creation and editing of documents and extra features.
