: ERROR 500 when uploading a jpg File

I recieve an Error-Message when i upload a jpg File. The Error Message is:
"Error 500: Internal Server Error". After That the File is not visible in Documents but visible in overwiew. Everytime when I select the documents button i recieve the Error-Message again. When i delet the file, everything works fine. It is only for jpg-files !!!

I once had that problem and it was some bug in the 'gd' php extension, which is used to generate image thumbnails. On version 1.3 final you won't have this problem anymore with files. You may have it with avatars and logos, as I think the extension is still being used for that cases. Were you able to upload an avatar for your user?
